Need Help?

We can offer help in many ways from providing information needed by members of our community to transportation to and from Mass, visiting the sick and taking communion to the housebound, in care homes and hospital, through to those who may be troubled or are just looking for answers or just need to talk.

If you wish for prayers or a mass to be said please contact the parish office.

The St Vincent de Paul Society (the SVP) is an international Christian voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty, loneliness and disadvantage.

Help is offered to all in need, irrespective of creed, colour, race or lifestyle. It is as important today as it ever has been. There is now a SVP Group working in Wokingham, reaching out to those in need of help and support. Our aim is to help those in our community at times of crisis as well as to reach out to people who are disabled, lonely, sick or housebound by visiting, befriending and providing practical assistance on an ongoing basis.

The group meets regularly at Corpus Christi and consists of a committed team of volunteers who live in the parish and worship here. Do you need help or do you know someone in need of help? We may be able to provide material assistance or advice or simply a listening ear.

The SVP can be contacted on 07786 492948 and all calls are completely confidential. You can help by becoming a member, a Friend of the SVP or by providing financial or material help in response to appeals through the parish newsletter.
